Thursday, August 28, 2025: Today on Young and Restless, Victor refuses to rip up the contract with Kyle, Nikki plans to promote Claire, and Victor wants an answer from Cane.

At the Abbott house, Claire and Kyle talk about how they no longer have anyone in their way. She explains that she exposed Audra to Nate. He needed to know.

Victor has come around but Audra is doubling down on her lies. Kyle isn’t worried about her.

Claire asks if there is anything he hasn’t told her about his time in Nice with that woman. If they are going to move forward, they need to resolve this.

He wants to move on too.

Again, she demands to know if he has told her everything. Kyle flashes back to his mother warning him about lies of omission.

Teetering around and rubbing his eyes, Kyle admits to Claire that when trying to trap Audra, he allowed for a kiss. The kiss in Society was all her.

The kiss in France was in his sleeping car and he found it disgusting the entire time. He had to go with it for a bit to expose her.

That sounds even worse to Claire. She says he lied to her when he said nothing happened.

If his actions are as innocent as he claims, why did he keep this from her?

He admits he should have told her sooner but he was ashamed and didn’t want to disappoint her. He didn’t want to burden her after she lost her father.

She says Audra has been more honest that he has. He’s sorry.

Claire wonders if he would have told her the truth without her prompting. She’d like to believe him, but he’s given her a reason not to trust him.

This kind of mess is completely new to her and she doesn’t know how to handle it.

With his voice breaking up, he says his love for her has never wavered and begs her to say he hasn’t made things worse. She can’t tell him that and needs to go. She walks out on him.

Victoria and Nikki stop by Crimson Lights after some shopping. Victoria admits she hasn’t made much time for herself lately.

Her mom can see the loss of Cole is till hurting. Victoria is determined to focus on the good things.

They are both happy that Victor has backed off on Kyle and Claire, but Victoria isn’t sure she trusts it.

They mull that over and Nikki says they will never know if it’s all for show. Victoria doesn’t think Kyle will be safe as long as her father loathes Jack.

The topic turns back to Cole and Victoria shows her the key he left her to the lock in Serbia. Nikki thinks that’s sweet. Cole was incredible enough to win Victor over.

Victoria talks about how much she misses Cole and how unfair all of this is. She’s been focusing on her family and work. Claire seems to be doing the same and it worries her.

She thinks that Claire should be facing her feelings of loss. Her mom suggests she take her own advice.

Nikki suggests that they give Claire a new focus to help her heal. She thinks it’s time to promote her up the corporate ladder.

Victoria is sure her daughter will be thrilled. Claire is supposed to be there soon. They hope she’s doing something nice for the morning.

When Claire arrives, they guess something is wrong. She tells them she’s shocked and confused because Kyle and Audra kissed in Nice and he didn’t tell her about it until now.

She’s not sure he would have told her if she hadn’t pushed. When someone lies, it triggers her.

Nikki knows he made a mistake but is sure he loves her. Relationships can be messy and she suggests her give herself time. She’ll be fine.

Once Nikki departs, Claire asks her mom what she should do. Victoria doesn’t know.

Claire feels like trusting Kyle was a mistake. She knows he’s not Jordan but she still can’t stand secrets or deception.

She’s sure he’s sorry and she needs to calm down because she can’t forgive now. Her mom says that’s reasonable and she should take her time.

Claire thought Kyle was steady and she could rely on him. Her mom nods.

Jack corners Victor at Society as he’s about to eat his dessert. Jack is amazed he’s willing to eat without a food taster.

“It would take more than arsenic,” Victor jokes.

The Abbott confronts him for going after him through his son and breaking Claire’s heart. Victor smugly tells him that if he has trouble in his family, that’s on him.

Jack keeps lecturing him for the “sordid” lengths he went to in his bid to split up Kyle and Claire. Victor says he only put him to the test.

When Kyle signed a contract with him, he showed more guts than Jack has in his lifetime.

Jack refuse to apologize for caring about other people. Victor reminds him that he’s backed off of Claire and Kyle but Jack doesn’t believe it.

The Newman doesn’t give a damn about that. Jack pushes him to prove he means what he says and tear up his contract with Kyle.

Victor won’t do that.

They start rehashing what happened with Nikki and Victor yells at him for nearly 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ing his wife before he storms out.

Diane comes in. Jack fills her in on his latest fight with the Mustache.

She wonders if there son is safe. Jack doesn’t know but he’s sure Victor will keep attacking him.

He can’t get past what Victor was willing to do to their son. He shouldn’t be allowed to get away with that.

“Maybe Victor needs a dose of his own medicine,” Jack suggests. His wife doesn’t want him to be consumed by revenge.

She suggests they should be more concerned about Cane. Jack dismisses him as all bark and no bite. He keeps fuming about Victor.

His wife reminds him that their son beat Victor. He can be happy and be with Claire. They should take the win.

Jack wants Victor to pay.

Kyle mopes in and explains he came clear with Claire and it all blew up in his face.

They suggest he give her time to process but he worries it will take a lot more than that.

His parents are sure Claire just needs a moment to breathe after all she’s dealt with. Kyle can’t wait and insists Claire is the only woman he wants.

He needs to find a way to prove how strong his feelings are.

“I’m going to ask Claire to marry me,” he decides. They’re shocked.

Outside, Victor sends Cane a text, asking if he is with him moving against Jabot.

Victor goes home and Nikki shows up and tells him about how happy everyone is that he’s made peace with Kyle…if it’s true.

He says he didn’t want any more conflict with Claire. His wife asks if this was all just a test, or if he really suspected Kyle would break Claire’s heart.

He says that Kyle is Jack’s son. Nikki says that doesn’t make him a cad.

Victor says he’s changed his mind about him. He withstood temptation and was stood up to him. That’s something he can appreciate.

His wife thinks his dislike of Kyle has more to do with Jack. He’ll admit that but he’s not dropping the feud. The war will never end.
