During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Young & Restless Emmy winner Michelle Stafford held nothing back, even when asked what her least favorite Phyllis plot was. To her, “there’s not a bad storyline,” she said. “It’s all sort of opinion. I could like a storyline, and you could hate it.”

The vice versa is true, too. But even then, Stafford pointed out, her job is, in essence, to not have an opinion and instead simply perform the scripts that she is assigned.
Will Phyllis Ever Find a New Love?
When a fan inquired about the possibility of Phyllis falling in love anew, her portrayer replied, “Maybe.” But even if Cupid does take aim at the pot-stirrer, Stafford admitted that “she’ll probably screw it up…
“Phyllis can be a happy for a little bit [and here and there] can win battles, but she usually doesn’t win the war,” she added.
That’s just fine by Stafford, by the way. “I love to play a tormented Phyllis. It’s more fun as an actor to play a character that’s trying to work something out or is tormented in some way. That’s probably not what you wanted to hear.”
