Thursday’s Canadian day-ahead episode of The Young and the Restless delivers a mix of family drama, health concerns, and dangerous schemes as several major storylines move forward at once. Nikki Newman finds herself hiding a frightening medical issue, Patty Williams tightens her grip on the Abbott mansion, and Victor Newman launches a risky new operation involving Matt Clark and Cane Ashby.

Nikki’s Growing Health Scare Raises Serious Concerns
The episode begins at the Genoa City Athletic Club, where Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott discuss family matters. Kyle reveals that Harrison is spending time with Lucy Romalotti while the ongoing chaos at the Abbott mansion continues.
The conversation quickly turns to the shocking situation involving Patty Williams. According to Nikki, Patty has effectively taken over the Abbott home and forced the rest of the family out while Jack Abbott remains behind, attempting to gain her trust in hopes of learning where Diane Jenkins is being held.
Victoria is stunned by the situation and describes it as a nightmare, but an even bigger concern soon emerges.
Nikki suddenly experiences another severe headache, one that appears significantly worse than previous episodes. This time, the pain is accompanied by blurred vision, alarming Victoria immediately. Although Nikki insists that stress is the cause and attempts to minimize the issue, Victoria isn’t convinced.

The incident serves as the strongest indication yet that Nikki may be dealing with something far more serious than simple exhaustion.
Later, Victoria follows her mother to her suite and firmly insists that she see a doctor. After some resistance, Nikki finally agrees, but only under one condition: Victor must not be told.
Her determination to keep the situation hidden suggests she may be more worried than she is willing to admit.
Chelsea and Adam Face an Uncertain Future
Meanwhile, at Society, Chelsea Lawson and Adam Newman discuss the latest developments involving Matt Clark and Victor’s mysterious plans.
Chelsea reveals that Connor spotted Matt working at the Newman ranch, prompting questions about why Victor has suddenly taken an interest in the troubled newcomer. Adam admits he has no real answers, leaving Chelsea increasingly concerned about what Victor may be planning behind the scenes.
The discussion eventually shifts toward their own future. Following the loss of Newman Media, both Adam and Chelsea find themselves searching for a new direction.
Adam feels responsible for encouraging Chelsea to join a venture that ultimately collapsed. While he suggests she reconnect with Summer Newman professionally, Chelsea has little interest in returning to old arrangements.
For perhaps the first time in a long while, Adam seriously considers stepping away from the endless Newman family power struggles. He tells Chelsea that he no longer feels the need to prove himself to Victor or the rest of the family. Instead, his focus is on building a better future for Chelsea and Connor.
The emotional conversation ultimately leads them toward a new goal: rebuilding Newman Media independently and creating something that belongs entirely to them.
Victor Equips Matt for a Dangerous Mission
At the Newman ranch, Victor continues implementing a plan that appears to involve using Matt Clark as an operative against Cane Ashby.
Victor informs Matt that Adam believes he has successfully earned Cane’s trust. Matt admits the assignment has been uncomfortable, particularly because he genuinely dislikes deceiving Cane.
Victor remains unconcerned.
Instead, he provides Matt with a new identity package that includes a wallet, credit card, identification documents, and an ankle monitor. While Matt is visibly uneasy about the monitoring device, he ultimately accepts Victor’s terms.
The conversation becomes more personal when Matt questions why Victor has placed so much trust in him. Victor makes it clear that the trust is conditional and warns that any betrayal will have severe consequences.
Despite his fears, Matt admits that Victor has shown him more kindness than he expected. Still, he can’t shake the suspicion that he could eventually become the fall guy if the operation goes wrong.
Victor dismisses those concerns and instructs Matt to contact Cane immediately.

With that call, Victor’s latest scheme officially moves into its next phase.
Phyllis Continues Her War With Cane
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers once again finds herself trading barbs with Cane Ashby.
Never one to miss an opportunity for confrontation, Phyllis approaches Cane and demands an apology. She argues that after everything that has happened, he owes her at least a drink.
Cane is far from amused.
Their verbal sparring intensifies when Phyllis proudly announces that Victor not only released her from trouble but also handed her control of Arabesque. The revelation clearly catches Cane’s attention, even though he attempts to hide his reaction.
Phyllis wastes no time boasting about her plans for the company. Confident and energized, she insists that Arabesque is about to become bigger and more successful than anyone expects.
Cane responds by targeting a more personal subject, asking whether her children are speaking to her again. While Phyllis admits her relationships with them remain strained, she remains confident that reconciliation is only a matter of time.
Cane counters by noting that his own children have begun softening toward him, particularly after learning about his role in helping Malcolm Winters.
Their confrontation is interrupted when Matt contacts Cane and asks to meet. Cane agrees and invites him to Crimson Lights.
However, once Matt arrives, Cane immediately demonstrates why he remains one of Genoa City’s sharpest players. Rather than making small talk, he directly asks what Victor wants.
The question suggests Cane may already suspect that Victor’s involvement in recent events runs much deeper than anyone realizes.
Victor Finds Time for One More Jab
The episode concludes with Victor arriving at the Genoa City Athletic Club and spotting Kyle Abbott.
Never one to resist an opportunity to provoke someone, Victor quickly comments on the Abbott family’s eviction from their own home. Kyle fires back, suggesting Victor focus on his own family instead of everyone else’s.

As expected, Victor appears entirely unfazed.
With Nikki hiding a potentially serious medical condition, Patty continuing her bizarre occupation of the Abbott mansion, and Victor setting an increasingly dangerous trap for Cane, Thursday’s Canadian day-ahead episode sets the stage for major fallout in the days ahead.
The biggest concern, however, may be Nikki’s health. While Victor remains unaware of what is happening, Victoria has already recognized the warning signs. If Nikki’s condition continues to worsen, the Newman family could soon find itself facing a crisis that no amount of power or influence can fix.
