Hope Logan’s shocking decision to leave Forrester Creations has already fractured relationships throughout both the Logan and Forrester families, but the emotional fallout is now spreading into a marriage that once seemed nearly unbreakable.

After learning that Donna Logan knew about Hope and Katie’s plan all along, Eric Forrester struggles to understand why the woman he trusts most chose to keep him in the dark. For Eric, the issue is no longer just Hope’s betrayal or Logan Designs’ successful fashion launch. The deeper wound comes from realizing that his own wife possessed information that could have prepared Forrester Creations for one of the biggest surprises in company history, yet never shared it with him.
Donna immediately tries to explain that she never intended to hurt either Eric or the company. Hope and Katie asked her to keep the secret, placing her in an impossible situation where every choice meant betraying someone she loved. She genuinely believed Hope’s decision would not interfere with Eric’s couture collection and desperately hoped everything would eventually work itself out without forcing her to break her promise.
Eric finds that explanation difficult to accept.
From his perspective, Donna’s first loyalty should have been to her husband. As the patriarch of Forrester Creations, he cannot ignore the fact that his company was completely blindsided while Donna silently watched events unfold. He asks the question that now hangs over their entire marriage: where does Donna’s loyalty truly belong? Is it with her husband and Forrester Creations, or with Katie and Logan Designs?
Donna insists she repeatedly begged Katie and Hope to reconsider because she knew the truth would cause enormous pain once it came out. She never supported deceiving Eric and never wanted Brooke or the Forresters to be humiliated. But honoring her promise also meant remaining silent, and that silence has now become the very thing threatening her marriage.
The confrontation leaves Donna devastated. She apologizes sincerely and pleads for Eric’s forgiveness, hoping he can understand that she was trapped between two families she loves equally. Rather than defending her actions, she accepts responsibility and asks what she can possibly do to repair the damage that has been done.

Unfortunately, Eric is not ready to answer.
When Donna moves closer, tells him how deeply she loves him, and begs him to tell her there is some way to make things right, Eric cannot bring himself to offer the reassurance she desperately needs. Instead, he quietly pulls away and walks upstairs, leaving Donna standing alone with the painful realization that saying “I’m sorry” may not be enough to erase the hurt.
The heartbreaking exchange highlights one of the central themes emerging from the Logan-Forrester fashion war. Every character believes they were protecting someone they love, yet those acts of loyalty have created new betrayals elsewhere. Donna remained faithful to a promise she made to Hope and Katie, but in doing so, she unintentionally shattered Eric’s confidence in the openness that has always defined their relationship.

Whether Eric ultimately forgives Donna will likely depend on whether he can separate her intentions from the consequences of her silence. He knows she never wanted to hurt him, but that understanding does not erase the sting of discovering that one of the most important secrets in recent Forrester history was kept from him by the person he trusted above everyone else.
As emotions continue running high after Hope’s dramatic debut at Logan Designs, Donna and Eric now face a challenge that has nothing to do with fashion houses or corporate rivalry. They must rebuild trust inside their own marriage before the growing conflict between the Logans and the Forresters tears apart yet another relationship.
