Manchester United players Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay are the top goalscorers of the EURO 2024 qualifiers so far due to their goals for Denmark and Scotland, respectively.
The EURO 2024 qualifiers are still on and European national teams are giving their all to book a ticket to the next round of the competition. The teams will play qualifiers until March 2024.
At the moment, the two top goalscorers in European competition play for Manchester United. Rasmus Hojlund, who plays for Denmark, and Scott McTominay, who is performing incredibly well for Scotland, are the top goalscorers of the EURO 2024 qualifiers so far.
The Danish international has netted six goals in three international matches – against Slovenia, Kazakhstan and Finland. The striker was crowned with a hat-trick against the Finnish side.
He also came up short with a brace in the 21st and 35th minutes against the Central Asian team. However, their goals could not prevent the home team from winning the match 3-2. Finally, the 20-year-old managed to score the equaliser against Slovenia.
Meanwhile, McTominay has also scored six goals for his national team – against Cyprus, Georgia and Spain. United’s star boy opened the scoring in the 6th minute to give Scotland the lead against Cyprus. Moreover, he also provided the assist for the winner in the 30th minute.
The midfielder shone in the encounter against ‘La Roja’ after scoring a double in the 7th and 51st minutes. He gave his team the victory after an acid test against Spain. Despite superb performances from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for Georgia, McTominay sealed victory for his side with a 47th minute wonderstrike.
